Tom Tycer, Refrigeration/Commissioning engineer for Weatherite, recently scooped the prestigious ‘National Student of the Year’ award at the 2017 RAC Cooling Industry Awards in London.
Up agaist ten other shortlisted students from across the UK, Tom took the Gold prize- and £1,750 in prize money.
Speaking after the ceremony, Weatherite’s Group Director, Tim Whitehouse, said that he was thrilled that Tom had been acknowledged for his commitment and his dedication to his studies and training.
Tim went on to say “Tom has demonstrated what a valued member of the Weatherite team he is and he’s a role model to our new apprentices”.
Weatherite takes on apprentices on a frequent basis, investing in the future of the company and students also attend extra days training in-house, to ensure they achieve the highest qualifications in the HVAC industry.
