Hot Aisle Containment

data centre aisle containment

Hot Aisle Containment Solutions provide a highly effective method of eliminating the mixing of hot and cold airflows within the data centre- leading to improved performance, uptime and life expectancy of the cooling equipment- whilst also substantially reducing the cooling systems operating costs and improving the environmental conditions for the teams working in these data centres.

The benefits of introducing Airflow Containment and Management systems are now becoming widely accepted by Data Centre professionals and Weatherite Aluminium Solutions offer an extensive range of solutions to meet your exact requirements.

How does Hot Aisle Containment work?

Hot Aisle Containment systems enclose the data centre hot aisles and direct the hot exhaust air back to the intake of the cooling system. By preventing cold air mixing with the hot exhaust air, the efficiency of the data centres cooling system can be greatly improved and prolonged- making substantial energy savings from day one. This containment method can be used in either raised floor or hard floor applications.

Isolating hot exhaust air, on its return path, also allows the rest of the data centre to remain at a reasonable temperature- which is beneficial for the staff working within the Data Centre.

Hot Aisle Containment is usually the preferred choice for new data centres, as it lends itself to being part of the overall air management strategy, from day one and can deliver a number of substantial benefits.
